A vibrant, engaging downtown is a strong platform for thriving businesses; that’s a no-brainer. Friends of Downtown Stoughton believes that the best historic downtowns are also engaging platforms for building human connections for the soul of communities.
In real life, an engaging experience is a pedestrian experience. Come to think of it, a business experience can’t exist until it becomes a pedestrian experience first. Driving isn’t connecting, running errands isn’t connecting. The downtown experience should make it worthwhile to get out of your vehicle, linger and enjoy being a pedestrian for a while.
